No Need For Kaide has finished. For some reason, the story took me to the point of ending a really nice run on the web and in print with a poop joke.

This comic was fun to make. I met a lot of great people, and in the process, I also managed to improve my skills (kind of hard to showcase using NNFK, though; a 3-panel comic is very limiting in terms of what you can put in it).

I’m going to be moving on to other things right now; If I ever come up with a story I myself like enough to write, maybe I’ll come back to making comics. But anyway, just wanna thank you guys for reading, and for giving this comic a chance.

What happened to the book?

A few months ago, some of you were asking if there was going to be a book, and I said I’d try. I talked to a couple of printers, gave them a spec sheet and asked for prices. I had the money and was serious about the endeavour, but apparently, they didn’t seem to be. To put it simply, I had bad experiences in dealing with both printers. Both were generally unprofessional, so after a few weeks of trying to deal with them, I just decided to drop it.

Anyway, thanks again for reading! You guys are great.

For the uninitiated, Rex has a longstanding beef with Facebook.

In the script that I had written for this comic, there was supposed to have been more dialogue. Old habit of having been used to the no-constraints webcomic format, I guess. I had to condense it a bit. Oh well.

Okay, I had fun doing this series of strips; got to try out some new things art-wise. I guess I could go on with this theme, but let’s just keep it up to here for now!

Yes, I do take my laptop into the throne room with me. No, part of my soul doesn’t actually die on finding out I can’t browse the web in there.

It just makes me a little sad.

These are the ones responsible for making sure the office’s systems are running smoothly. Or not.

Hey everyone – we’re back! Everything’s been sorted out, and updates are now running smoothly both in the print edition and over here.

On another note, I thought I was going to finally be able to talk with a printer that had their all their marbles together, but that was apparently not the case. I don’t know what it is, but I’m starting to get really pissed off with this whole “mek-urr-kemiks-book” thing. So far, the time I’ve spent going to and from printers trying to get quotes for the NNFK comic book has been completely fruitless. I’m beginning to think that bothering to make one is even worth the effort and money at all, given my personal experience with these people.

I still want to make some sort of compilation, which will include additional stories that won’t be available on this site. We’ll see what ultimately happens.
